Business Opportunity

As part of Haigh’s’ digital transformation strategy, it wanted to roll out a new point of sale (POS) system. This required integration between their HR system and ERP system (QAD), but in a very short time, so that the company could still meet their peak seasonal demands.

Atturra had been working with Haigh’s since 2021 offering QAD ERP solutions and support and expanded their offering in this project by getting the Data & Integration (D&I) team to offer a modern, cloud-based iPaaS. Instead of the internal Haigh’s team having to process the integration manually, Atturra worked with their technology partner Boomi to automate integration with the HR and ERP (QAD) systems.

Solution

The Atturra D&I team approached the project methodically, initially focusing on swiftly setting up a proof of concept environment. This ensured the Haigh’s team had confidence in the abilities of the Boomi software, the Atturra team, and immediate visibility of the project’s potential.

Atturra undertook comprehensive assessments and data flow mapping before configuring and developing the integration processes in Boomi. As the POS solution was new to Haigh’s, there was an element of joint discovery during the implementation that required rapid, iterative design and development by both Haigh’s and Atturra.

Atturra completed testing across multiple integration scenarios and worked closely with Haigh’s to ensure any issues were quickly identified and resolved.

Outcomes achieved

Atturra worked quickly and efficiently with multiple stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to ensure a smooth integration and that the new POS system went live on time. The D&I team’s involvement enabled Haigh’s internal team to reduce risk by eliminating the manual process initially associated with the implementation. Across its critical business systems, Haigh’s has enhanced visibility, reporting, and real-time data synchronisation.
