Stephen Kowal
Chief Executive Officer
As the Chief Executive Officer, Stephen is accountable for overall leadership and direction. Since joining Atturra in 2019 he has rapidly grown the business organically and via strategic acquisitions. Stephen has extensive executive management experience across IT software and services, including an ANZ sales director position for a US multi-national IT company and several CIO roles locally and overseas.
David Dekker
Chief Operations Officer
David’s responsibilities are wide-ranging across operations, IT, and sales and marketing. He has been instrumental in the mergers and acquisitions space, end-to-end IPO processes and corporate governance for Atturra. David’s previous experience includes managing sales and business units at various organisations, including SAP locally and overseas, and most recently he was the CEO of Cubic Consulting, a company owned by Atturra.
Julia Merten
Chief People Officer
Julia leads the HR team and has a focus on strategies and policies that promote sustainable people growth at Atturra. A hands-on leader and coach, Julia works closely with other Atturra leaders and the HR talent team to attract and retain the best people. Julia has extensive experience in the IT industry, having previously worked for organisations like Accenture, DA Consulting and Cubic Consulting.
Helen Ord
General Counsel
Working closely with key stakeholders at Atturra to support business initiatives and manage legal risk, Helen provides sound technical advice by combining her market experience with commercial acumen. An experienced corporate lawyer, previous roles include Head of Legal at BPAY and Bank of Queensland, and seven years as a Partner at Dentons.

Herb is a senior finance executive with over 25 years of professional experience across Australia, North America and the South Pacific. He has a strong industry background in IT/telecoms, professional services and media in both ASX-listed companies and global multinational corporations, both locally and overseas.
Kunal Shah
Director, Mergers & Acquisitions
Kunal is a resourceful senior corporate finance leader with significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, specialising in financial and operational due diligence. He also leads end-to-end planning through the deal lifecycle and post-acquisition integration management. Kunal is an affiliate member of the Governance Institute of Australia and performs the role of Company Secretary for Atturra Limited.
Andrew Balmaks
Executive General Manager – Advisory & Consulting
Andrew is a senior leader across strategy development, major transformation, investment management and benefits realisation for organisations. He is the co-founder of the Noetic Group, now majority owned by Atturra, where his main role is to grow the Advisory & Consulting business, and lead projects of strategic significance. Andrew has worked with clients around the world in the Asia Pacific, USA and Middle East.

Greg is responsible for managing a team of Microsoft specialists across Enterprise Business Applications and Cloud solutions, committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. Greg has over 20 years of experience in G2B and B2B IT, having previously worked for the Australian Public Service, Pcubed, Avanade and Oracle.

Jason leads a team of experts whose mission is to build the leading practice for managing customers’ data integration platforms and offering the best integration services. An experienced senior professional with more than 25 years in B2B IT, Jason is focused on continually adding to Atturra’s data integration capability, such as the recent partnership with OpenText.

Petar has more than 25 years’ experience with clients, including Australian Defence, Boral, Telstra and Nestle, and has worked for large professional services organisations and start-ups.

Richard comes with extensive experience gained over 25 years in the industry. He was a co-founder of Galaxy42, a company acquired by Atturra to help clients maximise use of their TechnologyOne ERP and Infor applications.
