Defence awards 3-year experimentation support contract to FTS Group advisory firm Noetic
Canberra, 15 June 2021 – FTS Group advisory firm Noetic, has been awarded the contract to support the Joint Experimentation Directorate (JED) Forward Work Plan FY21-26 for an initial term of three years with options to extend. The contract will see Noetic continue their partnership with JED, to shape Defence operating concepts and force options for Australian Defence Force capability.
Over the course of the next three years, Noetic’s highly experienced team will support a range of Defence experiments focused on concepts, analysis and system comparison, designed to test ADF future force structure. Noetic’s delivery includes the development of classified scenario environments, experimentation design and analysis, the management of simulation tools and delivering training to grow the ADF’s experimentation and wargaming skills.

The results of experimentation will generate the evidence for key decision makers, such as the Vice Chief of Defence Force, to make informed investment decisions that guide the acquisition of Defence’s future capabilities.
