Atturra Named as First Partner in Australia to Achieve Microsoft Private Cloud Solution Partner Designation

Atturra, has become the first Microsoft Solutions Partner in Australia to achieve the Private Cloud Solution Partner Designation. The recognition reinforces Atturra’s leadership in delivering sovereign, secure cloud services to local, state and federal government, defence, K-12 education and enterprise clients.

Atturra is particularly proud of this designation because it signals that Atturra has met Microsoft’s highest standards for hybrid and private cloud deployments, a priority for organisations operating under strict data sovereignty and compliance rules.

To qualify, Atturra strengthened its cloud capability with specialist certifications in Windows Server Hybrid Administrator and Azure Database Administration, and validated client outcomes with independent satisfaction scores. The company has delivered year-on-year growth in Azure Arc, Azure Stack HCI, and Windows Server private cloud deployments, proving its credentials in real-world environments.

Strategic milestone strengthens market position

This designation both reflects and allows Atturra to further build on existing strengths, including:

  • Sovereign advantage: Atturra operates its own private cloud infrastructure across Australia, providing compute, GPU-as-a-service, and secure storage options – critical for clients who can’t risk offshore data exposure.
  • Hybrid flexibility: Atturra can integrate on-premises, private cloud, and Microsoft Azure into a single architecture, giving clients flexibility and scalability, without cloud lock-in.
  • High-stakes sectors: The designation is particularly relevant to federal, state and local government, defence, utilities, and education, where compliance, security, and uptime are non-negotiable.

Stephen Kowal, CEO, Atturra, said, “Achieving the Private Cloud Solution Partner Designation as Microsoft’s first partner in Australia validates our client first mentality and unwavering commitment to providing solutions that address the broad spectrum of challenges faced by Australian enterprises.

“At the same time, it recognises the expertise of our people and the trust our clients place in us to deliver secure, sovereign, and scalable solutions and reinforces our position as a leading partner for organisations navigating hybrid and private cloud strategies.

“We look forward to continuing to provide clients with the certainty that they’re working with an industry partner whose processes and systems are internationally recognised for good cloud governance strategy and success while enabling enterprises to unlock growth.”

This milestone builds on Atturra’s earlier announcement that the organisation’s Microsoft practice was one of the first Australian Microsoft partners to achieve all six Solution Designations in the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program, including Business Applications, Data & AI (Azure), Digital & App Innovation (Azure), Infrastructure (Azure), Modern Work, and Security. Each Solution Partner Designation was assessed against rigorous criteria covering performance, technical skilling, and proven client success.
